Dear All,
I am incredibly grateful and humbled to serve as the new Director of the Institute of Medical Molecular Biotechnology (IMMB), Faculty of Medicine, University Teknologi MARA.
As I take on this new role in August 2020, several new directions for IMMB have been proposed. The first vision is to drive this institute to be visible at international scale in order to enhance collaborations and scientific partnerships. Secondly, IMMB shall serve the local research community with excellence by providing researcher-oriented laboratory management and conducive environment. It is also vitally important to establish a niche area for IMMB and to expand the currently available molecular services to our clinicians and researchers.
Despite the various challenges posed by the pandemic, I am confident that with the various expertise of our academic staff in the Faculty, together we can achieve these goals. With concerted efforts to optimize our intellectual capabilities, networks and determination, we can achieve even further, given the right place and the right time.
